Finland
About this stamp:
Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park
A new series of national park stamps is started by the issue of a stamp designed by Teemu Ollikainen, based on a photograph by Pekka Luukkola. It features Pallastunturit Fells, one of Finland’s designated national landscapes.
The first class non-value indicator stamp is sold as 10-stamp sticker sheets with information in Finnish, Swedish, Northern Sámi and Braille.
Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, situated in Finland’s Western Lapland, is the most popular among Finland’s National Parks with over 300,000 visitors per year.
The stamp was the second most popular in the voting for the most beautiful stamp in 2009.
