Schokland, the Netherlands

Schokland is UNESCO World Heritage Site. It used to be a peninsula, became an island and was reclaimed from the sea later. Now it is a symbol of the traditional Dutch struggle against the water and is a unique national and cultural monument.

Delft via the Philippines

This card is from Delft, a city in the Netherlands, but it was actually sent from the Philippines.

Two thanks-cards from the Netherlands

This is the lighthouse of Terschelling island, a Dutch island in the North Sea. The island has 4 500 inhabitants and really beautiful cards:)

And this is the sender's village. It has only 300 inhabitants! The windmill on this card now serves as a coffee bar (I'd like to have a cup of coffee there!)

Now, have a look at the Combibouw stamp. Combibouw's the name of the building company of the sender and it was them who built the house on the stamp!

This card also says "de beste wensen". Now we know how to say "best wishes" in Dutch:))

Welcome card: you are doing it wrong

Okaaay, we have approached the date when I joined postcrossing.com

Here's my first official.

God, it's so lame:) I mean... a child's hand with bitten nails, honestly? On the same day I got a card from Samara, a Russian city, and it was waaaaay better:) Who would have thought.

So, here's the card in question. Still one of the lamest I ever got.
